Hurricanes, extra-tropical cyclones, frontal systems, all march through the atmosphere of our planet - dust storms, volcanic eruptions, fog, ice and forest fires are all observed by these wonderful eyes in the sky. But even more information than is visible to the eye is brought to us by our satellite sensors - ocean currents, drought indicators, relative humidity, and sea surface temperature are among the various parameters that can be observed from our weather satellites.
